The kid dies and lies on the floor for three days. Only allowed some drinks and some salty snacks. Several animals appear and touch and lick him. Then comes a stick. The stick makes a hole in the kid’s head. Then comes the stone. The stone flies into the kid’s head. Now the kid knows how to sing magical songs. For 53 Suns, instead of being on stage herself, Hannah De Meyer has invited six quirky performers from different backgrounds and disciplines to investigate questions from her previous work. Questions about ecology, mysticism and theatre as a space for material and ephemeral bodies, both new and old.
